Alan Clement Evans has his studio on Lanzarote and is currently planning an exhibition on the island Erik Hårdstedt is showing at Nordic Art Gallery Malmo. This artists work will be a full feature on painters TUBES website in the late spring. Rob Fairley's work is featured here and on the inside front cover. Jo York, David Evans, Judy Buxton, William Morris, Lucy Wickens and Malcolm Dobbins are accomplished artists who have been featured in early painters TUBES magazines (not published on Readly.com) and have exhibited in the UK, Europe and USA. Harry Robertson's work will be showing on painters TUBES gallery, during the early summer in a group exhibition. Gabriel Grun (back page) will be featured in the next issue of painters TUBES magazine

final thoughts

The art academies and universities still maintain their claim on the 'avant-garde' that cerebral Art as being the most important 'art form' and will often try and push work which is somewhat banal and fatuous in its concept and more often of poor quality in its execution. However the 'real' important art is being created by the hundreds of thousands of painters every day in every part of the world and it is this art that will survive as an art form through to the next millennium and probably well beyond. Visual Art was humanity's first language and it will remain the most appreciated.

In the 21stcentury Artists have now developed 'instructional' courses to people who enjoy painting holidays. The first and foremost 'lesson' is always how to paint landscape. Many critics will point out that painting Nature is easy. For many painters that is a misnomer to quote to anyone. Nature is the most complex subject matter any artist can attempt to master. The world is full of artistic challenges, nature remains the key to developing oneself
